The TSI Test is based on the Texas high school curriculum.
The three components of the TSI Test are Math, Reading, and Writing. Each section consists of multiple choice questions, but the Writing section also includes an essay question. The test is computer adaptive, which means that it presents questions which are more or less difficult based on your performance. There is no time limit, and students are encouraged to carefully read each question before choosing their answers. Here is the test structure:

Essay: persuasive essay (approximately 300-600 words) on a controversial issue or one of current interest
